Introduction
Are you planning a trip to see the world’s wonders? If so, there’s no doubt that you have an itinerary set up for your travels. But what if you only have time to see one or two of these locations in person? Are they worth seeing at all? The answer is often yes—especially if you follow these tips on how to make the most out of your landmark visits:
Plan your route.
Plan your route.
When you’re visiting a new city or town, it’s important to plan your route so that you can see as much as possible in the time that you have. However, it’s also important not to get too stuck in your head about what needs to be done and where. Leave room for spontaneity! You never know what might happen along the way–and that could mean finding something amazing at an unexpected location.
Start with the basics.
- Find out what you want to see.
- Check the opening times and admission fees.
- Find out if there are any guided tours available, and if so, which languages they’re offered in (some places may also offer tours in other languages).
- Check if there are any special events going on at that landmark that day or week–you might be able to get some freebies!
- Finally, check whether photography is allowed at all (or only with certain restrictions).
Have a guide book on hand.
- Have a guide book on hand.
Guide books are an excellent way to learn about the place you’re visiting, from local culture and history to attractions and places to eat. They can also be used to plan your route so that you don’t miss anything important. Having an idea of what’s important in an area will help give it context when visiting landmarks or museums.
Tourist traps are everywhere!
When you’re visiting a landmark, there are always going to be tourist traps. These are places that look like they have everything you could possibly want and more, but in reality are just big money pits where you pay way too much for subpar products or services.
You may not know what these tourist traps look like until after you’ve already been sucked into them–and even then, it might take some time before your brain catches up with what just happened and realizes that this wasn’t actually worth it at all! But if we can avoid these places altogether (or at least learn how to spot them), we can save ourselves some money and avoid being disappointed by something that wasn’t worth our time–and maybe even get some good deals along the way!
You don’t have to see everything in one day!
You don’t have to see everything in one day! You can spend as much time as you want at each landmark, or even just visit one and come back another day. Some of them are closer together than others, so it’s easy to get around by foot or bike between them (and some of them even have their own bike rental shops).
If you’re planning on staying in NYC longer than 3 days, try booking an AirBnB near Central Park so that each morning when the sun rises over Manhattan and lights up those famous skyscrapers with its golden rays of light before heading out for breakfast at one of our favorite local spots like Table Talk Diner or Balthazar Bakery Cafe where we recommend getting their eggs benedict dish with avocado toast on top instead because why not?
Once lunchtime rolls around again after spending all morning exploring The Met Museum Of Art & Design (which has been around since 1871) then head over towards Madison Avenue where there are plenty more options including: Blue Ribbon Restaurants – Il Buco Alimentari e Vineria Italian Kitchen – Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s newest venture serving up seasonal dishes made from locally sourced ingredients; Daniel Boulud Brasserie Bar Americaine French bistro style restaurant offering upscale comfort food like grilled salmon burgers topped with caramelized onions served alongside fries/toastparsley sauce; Benedictine Monastery Restaurant – Located inside St John’s University campus serving traditional Austrian fare such as Wiener Schnitzel which translates into “Viennese schnitzel” which basically means breaded veal cutlet served atop egg noodles; Austrian Pancake House & Restaurant – Known for their Apple Strudel which comes in many different flavors including apple cinnamon raisin blueberry peach raspberry lemonade strawberry banana Nutella
Even if you’re not planning on seeing all of the world’s wonders, you can still get a lot out of them with these tips
Even if you’re not planning on seeing all of the world’s wonders, you can still get a lot out of them with these tips.
- Don’t try to see everything in one day. It’s impossible and it will make your trip less enjoyable as a result. Instead, plan your route beforehand and set aside several days or weeks for your landmark visits.
- Have a guidebook on hand so that you know what sites are worth visiting before going in person–and which ones aren’t worth it at all (i.e., tourist traps).
- The sheer size of some monuments can be overwhelming; take breaks often if needed!
Conclusion
The world is full of amazing sights, but it can be hard to know where to start when planning a trip. With these tips, you’ll be able to make the most of your landmark visits and see some truly amazing things!
